What You’ll Do
The Quality Improvement & Measurement Consultant leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement (QI) initiatives and collaboratives, with a focus on measurable outcomes and sustainable change. Through collaboration with pediatric hospital teams, internal colleagues, and external partners to design and execute data-driven QI strategies, coach teams through change, and foster peer learning environments.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $80,000 Max: $160,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.

What You’ll Do
The Quality Improvement & Measurement Consultant leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement (QI) initiatives and collaboratives, with a focus on measurable outcomes and sustainable change. Through collaboration with pediatric hospital teams, internal colleagues, and external partners to design and execute data-driven QI strategies, coach teams through change, and foster peer learning environments.
- Leads the design, delivery, and facilitation of multi-site quality improvement initiatives, learning collaboratives, and educational programming for member hospitals.
- Applies evidence-based improvement methodologies to develop, test, refine, and scale interventions and change strategies.
- Creates learning curricula, implementation resources, change packages, and toolkits in collaboration with internal experts and faculty.
- Translates qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights, developing measures, dashboards, and reports that support progress tracking and decision-making.
- Serves as an advisor and coach to hospital teams, providing tailored guidance on improvement methods, data use, and change management.
- Cultivates strong partnerships with faculty, members, collaborators, and internal teams to align strategies and sustain improvement efforts.
- Advances continuous learning and innovation by staying current on evidence and contributing to strategic planning and internal improvement initiatives.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, public health, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, program implementation, or consulting.
- Expertise in clinical quality measurement (e.g., AHRQ, CMS, NCQA) and improvement frameworks (e.g., IHI, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in leading or facilitating QI collaboratives, learning networks, or multi-site improvement projects.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience designing and delivering both virtual and in-person learning experiences.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Master’s degree in public health, healthcare quality, health services research, nursing, or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or formal training in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent QI methodology.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), ASQ or similar credential.
- Experience working in pediatrics, hospitals, or healthcare associations.
- Proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Excel, and project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana).
