Schedule:
Monday-Friday daytime hours with some evening/weekend work as needed for CHS events.
Position Overview:
Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Assistant Director of Development & Events to help plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising, donor engagement, and community events that support Children Home Society's mission and revenue goals. - Compensation: $55,369.00-$69,222.40/annually (Depending on Education/Experience)

What You’ll Do:
- Event Administration: Plan, coordinate and facilitate special fundraising events. Create and disperse invitations, invitation lists, and promotional materials for events.
- Media: Assist in preparing spokespersons for media interviews and provide key messages and talking points. Conduct media interviews.
- Donor Relations: Maintain existing sponsorships and vendors for events. Assist with in-kind gifts and acknowledgement of donor stewardship.
- Donor Records: Maintain complete and accurate donor records, documentation of donor contact and other pertinent information. Ensure proper gift receipting to meet donor needs and comply with IRS Standards
- Assist with in-kind gifts and acknowledgement and recognition
- Marketing Materials: Assist marketing department by providing them with necessary content and specifications of event needs.
- Volunteers: Work with volunteer coordinators to ensure volunteer needs are met for all events.

Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in fundraising/event management required.
- Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by office.
