Medical Office Assistant - Broome

$19 an hour
Work Location: On-site, in person

Position Summary: The medical office assistant is required to help the Clinic staff in carrying out various tasks such as preparing and maintaining the patient's files, answering inquiries on the phone, giving appointments to the patients, etc. Collaborate with staff members from across the Agency in order to accomplish various tasks. Comply with agency external and internal regulations regarding required health care of residents, employees and volunteers.

• Prepare and maintain patient files
• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Transport youth to appointments
• Support the medical clinic and agency in clerical-type duties
• Maintain HIPPA and confidentiality
• Comply with all federal, state, and agency regulations

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates degree preferred

Experience:

• 2 years of medical office/clinic experience required
• Pediatric or psychiatric experience preferred
• Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
