Summary
This position is responsible for managing, controlling, and tracking facility assets throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. The position will serve as the asset management program expert, prepare reports, perform analysis to identify potential asset deficiencies and design, and develop and implement the asset management strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain inventory in capital asset management program and computerized maintenance management system.
- Plan and implement asset life cycle, specifications and preventive maintenance strategy.
- Design and implement asset tagging, data collection, and inventory procedures.
- Manage database synchronization between database environments.
- Develop and maintain office processes and policies for assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with database software and related technology program(s).
- Work with outside consultant to configure and implement changes in the software program.
- Manage assets after acquisition, assign specifications, track warranties, life cycle and final disposition of assets.
- Reconcile physical inventory and investigate any inconsistencies.
- Ensure old assets are disposed, following internal workflows and procedures.
- Lead construction project close-out processes and handoff of new assets to Facilities Engineering teams.
- Process and oversee the electronic transfer of data, such as O&M, warranty and other asset information.
- Organize and maintain plans and documents in archive library.
- Design and run various asset reports.
- Process information requests regarding asset status.
- Perform additional tasks and related work as required.
How You’ll Be Successful:
- At least 3 years experience with asset management, facilities engineering, or equivalent Req
- At least 2 years experience in software implementation, training, or support Pref
- Technical/ Trade level degree OR Req
- Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Req
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Emphasis on engineering, facility management, or construction related degrees Pref
