Summary
Provides around the clock oversight, O&M Management, leadership, technical direction and performance management for the Dallas area of Engineering. Responsible for the safe work practices of personnel as well as the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the equipment and facility; will also oversee the short and long term strategies to support the financial and business goals. Under general direction, manages operations & maintenance within area of responsibility; plans, implements and monitors budgets, goals and objectives; provides technical or management topical instruction, expertise and problem resolution. Ensure policies and practices, data integration, and quality reporting of the engineering department are coordinated with the Dallas campus. Maintain and cultivate relationships with key staff members, patients, and patient families. Responsible for various engineering work or programs that interface with various departments. Manages exempt and-or non-exempt level supervisors and department subordinate personnel.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for oversight and daily operations and management of department and associated personnel. Ensures daily staffing levels meet operational needs and makes efficient use of resources. Assign work to Engineering staff as determined by preventive maintenance schedules and repair needs; verify that all Engineering staff are properly educated and trained on administrative and departmental policies and procedures; monitor the skillset of staff and provide or arrange for additional training as needed. Responsible for working and coordinating with Health & Safety to maintain standards and resolve any and all issues related to respective areas. Ensure all maintenance and inspections required by the authority having jurisdiction are completed per requirements and proper documentation is archived. Will also participate in audits/surveys (TJC/CMS) as requested.
- Manages department operations; plans, implements, and monitors budgets, goals and objectives within area of responsibility. Manages supervisors and other departmental employees.
- Ensures all code required maintenance and testing of equipment and systems is properly accomplished and documented
- Manages and coordinates all activities with tenants and work within the facility.
- Plans, coordinated and supervises planned utility shutdowns in support of project work
- Coordinated accomplishment of minor construction projects using both contractor and in-house assets. Gives input into Design Drawings (DDs) and takes handoffs of PDC projects. Includes Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs), blue prints, warranty and training
- Reviews drawings and other technical documentation to ensure accuracy and proper function for proposed new systems
- Serves on-call after hours to respond to incidents or emergencies as required
How You’ll Be Successful:
- At least 5 years experience in facility management Req
- At least 3 years experience supervisor/leadership or leading large scale facility projects Req
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree Req
- State abatement license Pref
- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) Pref
- State CFC License Pref
