Employment Type:Ā Full-Time- Pay is $16.62/hr

Childrenās Friend is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented WIC Program Assistant to be the welcoming face and helpful hand for families navigating the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. š¼ What Youāll Do:
As a WIC Program Assistant, youāll play a vital role in helping families access essential nutrition services and community resources. Your day-to-day will include:
- Screening applicants for eligibility
- Providing program information and secondary nutrition education
- Performing basic health assessments like height, weight, and hemoglobin checks
- Connecting families with vital services such as housing, food banks, and healthcare
- Supporting WIC participants both in-person and over the phone
- Keeping our records and systems accurate and up to date
š What You Bring:
A high school diploma or GED
Bilingual Skills in Spanish required.
At least one year of administrative support experience
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
Experience in a medical or social services setting (preferred)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required); additional languages a plus!
