Seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential support and care to students in a school setting for an upcoming academic year contract. This position involves working closely with school staff to support student health and well-being in alignment with department guidelines and educational goals.
Schedule:
- 30–32.5 hours per week
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant)
- Active Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) CNA certificate
- Ability to participate in an onsite, in-person interview (required—no exceptions)
- Professional communication skills and a supportive demeanor when working with students and education staff
- Commitment to confidentiality, safety, and the unique needs of a school environment
- Recent experience as a CNA within a healthcare, educational, or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily personal care and health monitoring to students as directed by care plans
- Collaborate with teachers and school nurses to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment
- Document and report on student health conditions and interventions in compliance with legal and school guidelines
- Assist with mobility, toileting, and other physical needs throughout the school day
- Communicate clearly with faculty, staff, and parents as required
