JOB DESCRIPTION: The Children's Center for Language & Culture, Inc. (ChiCeLaCu!) seeks an enthusiastic, energetic, independent, and experienced Assistant Spanish Teacher for its At Your School Program, taking place at Great Falls Elementary School, Fairfax County. Classes take place before regular school hours (7:00 to 9:00 AM on Mondays and Wednesdays). For more information on ChiCeLaCu, visit

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Days: Mondays and Wednesdays

Before School hours: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Wages: $50 per session (includes 30 minutes for set up, 1 hour of instruction, and 30 minutes for clean up)

All teachers MUST meet the following requirements:

• Fluent Spanish speaker
• Possess or be in the process of acquiring an associate, bachelor's, or master’s degree in education, humanities, or the arts
• Advanced English (written and spoken) is required
• At least 2 years of experience working with children
• Good classroom management skills
• Some experience writing and implementing lesson plans
• A team player who is creative, energetic, flexible, patient, fun, and enjoys working with children
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Minimum commitment for employment: September 2026 to May 2027
• Must be able to work legally in the U.S.
• Two professional references

Duties:

• Support the Lead Teacher in developing and implementing age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with educational objectives.
• Support the Lead Teacher in designing and implementing activities that align with the curriculum and educational goals
• Maintain a friendly demeanor with families and partner with parents to positively support every child's growth and create a welcoming environment.
• Prepare weekly parent updates, quarterly student assessments, and 1 parent-teacher conference.
• Light housekeeping to ensure the assigned classroom is clean, organized, sanitized, and well maintained at all times.
• Build and sustain positive working relationships with fellow educators and administrative staff to promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
