What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-K Counts Substitute Teacher position at Children's Aid Society?
Join our team to support young learners through individualized and group activities aligned with Early Learning Standards. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing curriculum
- Conducting child observations and assessments
- Teaching conflict resolution using “I Can Problem Solve”
- Maintaining a safe, organized classroom
- Ensuring compliance with Pre-K Counts and Child Care standards
- Supporting daily routines (meals, naps, etc.)
- Promoting trauma-informed care per the PA Plan (2020)
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education with Early Childhood certification required
- Supervisory and/or management experience preferred
- Two or more years of experience working with children and families
