### Job Summary:
Children First Learning Center is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Administrator to oversee daily operations, ensure OCCL compliance, support staff, and build strong relationships with families. The ideal candidate has early childhood experience, strong organizational skills, and a passion for high-quality care.
### Duties:

- Provide attentive, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate care to children of varying ages
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, standards-aligned activities that support learning and development using tools such as ELOF, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Ages & Stages (ASQ)
- Create and maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that supports children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Monitor children’s behavior, interactions, and developmental progress while ensuring safety and supervision at all times
- Support daily routines including meals, rest time, diapering, toileting, and transitions in accordance with center policies and OCCL regulations
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and documentation following CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) requirements
- Implement practices aligned with quality frameworks such as ECERS/ITERS, and Delaware’s Quality Improvement systems
- Observe, document, and communicate developmental progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD, informal notes, or ASQ screening tools
- Maintain open, professional, and effective communication with families regarding their child’s growth, behavior, and daily experience
- Collaborate with families to understand and meet each child’s individual needs, background, and learning style
- Follow all established center policies and procedures related to child supervision, health, safety, licensing, and confidentiality
- Participate in professional development, coaching, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
### Requirements:
- Must meet Delaware OCCL Administrator qualifications through one of the approved pathways (Early Childhood degree, any degree 15 ECE credits, or MACTE-accredited Montessori credential)
- 12 months of experience working with children birth–second grade in a group setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood development, developmentally appropriate practice, and positive guidance
- Knowledge of Delaware Stars, ECERS/ITERS, Teaching Strategies GOLD (TS GOLD), Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ), and ELOF (Early Learning Outcomes Framework)
- Ability to maintain OCCL compliance, complete required documentation, and follow licensing regulations
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Proficient with record-keeping, scheduling, and basic computer systems
- Must pass all required OCCL background checks and health requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
