Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Educator to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, supporting their developmental needs through structured activities and individualized attention. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and coordinating with other staff members as needed.
- Practice effective behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and social skills.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols diligently.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential.
- Experience with classroom management, behavior management strategies, and caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is preferred.
- Certification in first aid is a plus; ongoing training in special education or working with children with disabilities is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
