Overview
A local nonprofit is looking for a part time bookkeeper.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for all accounts payable including maintenance of vendor files.
- Prepare and maintain journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, account reconciliations, monthly and cash flow statements, and various other accounting statements and reports.
- Administer fixed asset additions, disposals, and impairments.
- Responsible for credit card payments, ensuring purchases are adequately justified, documented, and spending limits are not exceeded.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, and other accounting and payroll software used in this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as budget creation and analysis software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of the organization's budgetary and accounting principles, practices, and policies.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- CPA License is preferred but not required.
- Certified in Quickbooks

To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, climb, balance, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The incumbent may be required to lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat and be at eye level with children.
The work is typically performed in an office environment, with a moderate noise level. Occasional travel to other areas of the facility may be required, where the noise level is moderate to loud and environmental conditions may include slippery surfaces or crowded areas. Employees may be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
