What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medication Monitor position at ChildFirst Services Inc.?
Job Summary:
The medication monitor will monitor residents in group homes as they self-administer medications. The medication monitor will oversee medication administration through the electric MAR system and a dashboard. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety protocols while maintaining residents’ privacy and dignity.
SCHEDULE:
D Shift: Thursday 2 am- 8 am and 8 pm- 8 am, Friday & Saturday 8 pm - 8 am
PAYRATE: $22/hour
Location: Allentown, PA 18106
Key Responsibilities:
- Track that medication is given on time.
- Oversee the number of pills in house, refills, scripts, medication refusals, omissions, and more.
- Document observations and report any missing doses, errors, or concerns to the appropriate medical or supervisory staff.
- Ensure all monitoring complies with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of medication administration.
- Communicate with medical personnel and management/supervisor with any concerns.
- Conduct medication audits.
- Alert staff when medications still need to be administered.
- Monitor medication error incident reports.
Qualifications:
- Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
- Experience with medication administration preferred
- Experience with pharmacy/medication refills preferred
- Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with video monitoring systems
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
