Education Specialist – Family Child Care Network (Queens, NY)
Location: Queens, NY
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Education Specialist to support Family Child Care providers throughout Queens. The ideal candidate will provide coaching, guidance, and professional support to help providers create high-quality learning environments and promote children’s development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site coaching visits to Family Child Care providers.
- Provide individualized coaching and professional development.
- Support providers in implementing developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum.
- Observe classroom practices and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist providers in creating engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and required reports.
- Collaborate with program staff to support continuous quality improvement.
- Travel throughout Queens to conduct provider visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, such as Psychology or Education (Grades 1–6).
- Experience working with young children is preferred.
- Experience coaching or supporting educators or child care providers is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Queens.
