What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare - School Age Teacher position at Childcare center/preschool?
We are seeking loving, energetic, teachers who will implement activities throughout the day that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. This position is for a School Age Teacher. Hours will be 9:00pm to 6:15pm.
We offer year-round programs for children from 6 weeks through 12 years old.
Qualifications:
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
- Observes all rules and regulations the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
- Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Provides encouragement, guidance and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
- Attends all required staff meetings and completes annual training.
- Maintains overall professional personal appearance
- Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Must pass State Background Check and must have a GED or High School Diploma
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
