SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Island Director/ Clinical Supervisor, the Crisis Specialist II is primarily responsible for providing support,
outreach, and information and referral services to participants. Performs required administrative tasks related to caseload, such as
daily and monthly activity reports, mileage and other miscellaneous reports in a timely manner. Participates in all level meetings,
agency, staff, and selective staff meetings, and other meetings as determined by the Island Director/ Clinical Supervisor. Maintains
confidentiality at all levels. Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- High school plus additional training equal to 2 years of college, which requires knowledge of a specialized field or may lead to
licensing (data processing, accounting, human services), or formalized apprenticeship program. For example, certified substance abuse counselor, bookkeeper, etc.
EXPERIENCE
- Over six months, up to and including one year
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Preferred knowledge - Awareness of issues related to sexual assault and domestic violence, and experience in these areas. Issues
related to adult and children’s health/safety.
Effective documentation practices, communication, and knowledge of community resources.
Required – ability to communicate and work effectively with people of diverse social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-
needed basis throughout the island.

Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as such training is necessary to ensure ability/continued ability to perform essential functions of this job.

Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of First Aid classes.
