What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communication Manager position at CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP INC?
General Responsibilities:
Manages communications for International Ministries to strengthen the unity and ministry of the CEF family worldwide. Supports department by gathering, preparing, maintaining, organizing, and updating information. Promotes and facilitates prayer support for the CEF ministry worldwide.
Realizes the importance of the CEF Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF (the importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).
Specific Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Supervision
o Supervise the Communication Specialists (onsite and offsite) and department intern.
o Support IM leadership with communication strategies, special projects, and strategic planning.
· Content & Story Development
o Source and develop stories that promote CEF’s international work.
o Coordinate with international missionaries for interviews, testimonies, and media assets.
o Provide content to departments such as GPM, Creative Services, and Communications & Marketing.
· Prayer & Newsletter Communications
o Oversee creation and distribution of the International Prayer Fellowship newsletter and other prayer-related communications (e.g., chapel services, regional bulletins, IBOT Prayer).
o Manage timely delivery of updates to international field and prayer partners via mail, WhatsApp, and print.
· Presentation & Reporting
o Lead the development and updating of IM presentations for donor reports, board briefings, and promotional events.
· Event & Meeting Coordination
o Coordinate or assist with Zoom livestream events (e.g., CPC Celebration, World Day of Prayer) including translation support.
o Assist in planning IM-related meetings, conferences, workshops, and CMI classes.
· Communications Oversight
o Manage IM communication channels (email, phone, social media).
o Maintain and assign access to the IM section of the staff website.
o Facilitate layout and printing of all IM print projects.
· Information Management & Security
o Maintain records of country status, security levels, and contacts.
o Enforce guidelines for sharing sensitive ministry information.
o Liaise with communication managers across departments to ensure unified messaging
