What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Program Administrator - Hope Head Start position at Child Development Services Lakeshore Head Start?
CDS Lakeshore Head Start is looking for a Program Administrator for their Hope Head Start/Holland Daycare location. This is a full-time school year position with limited summer hours. Employee is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the assigned early childhood centers by overseeing all operations, managing staff, addressing parent, child, and staff issues, and meeting curriculum requirements. This position is responsible for ensuring that all Head Start Performance Standards and State of Michigan Licensing Rules are met.
This position requires one of the following educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or other related field with coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education.
A college course in the administration of early childhood centers is required.
Skills and specifications:
- Three or more years of professional experience working with children ages birth - 5
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Analytical skills to identify problems and generate ideas and solutions
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit professionalism and maintain confidentiality
