Position Description
The Parent Aware Quality Rater reviews Quality Documentation Portfolios submitted by child care programs. This position requires attention to detail to ensure consistency and rater reliability.
This is a 4-year contracted position with variable hours during the year.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop consistent inter-rater reliability
· Attend Parent Aware and Quality Rating training sessions and refresher sessions as needed
· Attend weekly Rating Team meetings (in-person or remotely)
· Follow Rating process with efficiency and consistency by using established standards and procedures to ensure that routine reliability checks of the Rating work are satisfactory.
2. Review Quality Documentation Packets
· Review and score Quality Documentation Packets following established guidelines to ensure consistency
· Work with team to ensure timeliness and efficiency in rating of Quality Documentation Packets
· Collaborate with Rating Manager and Rating Team, including the Anchor Rater and Rating Specialists to determine if contested Ratings are eligible for reconsideration of the outcome
3. Record rating data utilizing the Parent Aware Rating Tool
· Participate in intensive training on the Parent Aware Rating Tool
· Enter data from the Quality Documentation Packet into the Parent Aware Rating Tool
· Assist in cross-checking the system to verify data
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent of one year experience
· Experience working on detailed projects
· Extensive computer and database skills
· Ability to work independently as well as with others
· Strong organizational and individual and team problem-solving skills
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Ability to work in a changing environment with demanding deadlines
· Demonstrated intercultural competency skills and experience working cross-culturally, with a commitment to incorporating the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into work
Working Condition
· Remote and in-person at the Child Care Aware of Minnesota office
· Flexible scheduling, with occasional non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends

Compensation
· $26 per hour, flexible 25 to 35 hours per week
