This role is an independent contractor engagement and does not constitute an employment relationship with Child Care Aware® of America. The individual engaged will not be eligible for employee benefits and will be responsible for all applicable taxes and withholdings.

Summary of Position: The Contractor will independently conduct an examination and benchmarking of a subset of state licensing standards (between 8-10 states). In particular, the contractor will compare:
Deliverable: A completed rubric for each of the relevant states.

- State licensing regulations
- QRIS standards for a set of quality benchmarks.
Deliverable: A completed rubric for each of the relevant states.
- NOTE: All data and information collected, summarized, or leveraged during the contract is the intellectual property of CCAoA.
- Three to five years of research experience.
- Proven experience in data collection.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strength in meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous research experience in the child care /early education field; familiarity with child care regulations.
