Internship Program Overview
Our 10-week summer internship program givesstudentshands-on experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while learning about our organization.Internswill connect with leaders,participatein development sessions like self-assessments and business overviews, and take part in networking and community initiatives. The program concludes with a final presentation to leaders and peers, whereinternsshowcasetheirwork, share ideas, and receive valuable feedback.
Who we are looking for
This position contributes to the company success bysupporting the Strategic Innovation team inscouting and evaluating innovative therapeutic modalitiesemergingfrom academic and research institutes, start-up and early-stage biotech organizations that may provide long-term solutions for patients with rare diseases.
- Scout and screen relevant scientificinformation on new therapeuticopportunitiesfor rare diseasesand share findings with the team
- Document data inclusteredspread sheets and constantly updatethemasnew informationbecomes available
- Present data for review, group discussions, and team meetings
- Activelyparticipateinrecurring meetings withStrategic Innovation Unitteam
- Currently pursuing a BS/BA in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Biologic Sciences with an expected graduation date of Fall 2026 or later
- Scientific research experience preferred
- Proficiencyinreading, interpreting, and evaluatingscientific data
- Demonstratedproficiencyinwritten,verbal,andface-to-face communication toeffectively present informationto and influence decision making ofmanagers.
- Ability tosuccessfullymanage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrentlywhilemaintaininghigh attention to detail whilerespondingto rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
- ProficientinMS Office (Word, Excel,Project)andAdobe
Interns may be based in Boston, MA, Cary, NC, or work remotely.
The hourly basepayfor this position ranges from $22 to $30. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtimepaywhen working qualifying overtime hours.Basepayoffered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including education level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify basepay(as well as any other discretionarypayment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
