Baseline Requirements:
Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate or master’s student
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Graduating after December 2026
Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company
Able to work remotely (living in the greater Boston, MA, area preferred)

Technology & Innovation Intern
Our Department Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for high-tech, innovative research and development. T&I provides and manages shared platform, architecture, technology innovation and development services.
Current research topics include Artificial Intelligence, cloud-based software, high performance computing, knowledge-based software, advanced CAD, CAM, and Simulation for Engineering and Manufacturing, etc. with application to many novel engineering domains including robotics and autonomous systems, mechanical and electronics manufacturing, Internet of Things, Digital Twin, Metaverse, etc.
Project assignments in this organization vary greatly depending on the technical and business needs.
You will champion projects that allow you to:
Develop or improve AI driven software for our program and project management infrastructure including budget and financial performance measurement and reporting capabilities for internal Siemens and external partner stakeholders.
Work with the technical, business and finance teams to devise AI driven internal and with-partner workflows and tools that increase effectiveness of program definition, selection and execution.
Develop the ability to operate with minimal supervision over the course of the internship
Research and help develop innovative methods to confront program and project challenges
Organization Requirements:
Studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree, Computer Science or Engineering, business and finance minors a plus
Rapidly learn new software and methods
Proficient in some of the full stack programming languages and CI/CD tools such as Python, Java, GitLab, Typescript, React.js, Tailwind CSS, PostgresSQL
Cloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) experience is beneficial
Skills in Artificial Intelligence software is a plus

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
