Position Overview
The DSP Field Supervisor reports directly to the Administrator, Assistant Administrator, and Board of Directors. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) who assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). These activities include personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and toileting, among others.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support DSPs to ensure high-quality care and adherence to care plans.
- Implement and monitor each participant's Plan of Care, ensuring personalized support.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, community partners, and families via various channels including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation of all participant information and incidents.
- Coordinate and attend mandatory meetings, trainings, and community engagements.
- Manage scheduling, on-call rotations, and ensure adequate coverage for all participants.
- Oversee accurate and timely documentation, including timesheets, service logs, progress notes, and medication records.
- Facilitate medication administration updates and coordinate with healthcare providers for new prescriptions.
- Conduct face-to-face visits, phone contacts, and home assessments for each participant on your caseload.
- Assist with transportation needs for participants to medical appointments, community outings, and errands.
- Participate in quarterly supervision meetings and DSP training sessions.
- Support billing processes by reviewing timesheets and service logs, and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, including dress code, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
- Provide case management support, addressing participants' needs such as DME, social services, and community referrals.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance.
- Ability to lift 50-60 lbs and pass a criminal background check.
- CPR/First Aid certification, DSW or CAN certification preferred.
- Excellent conflict resolution, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work rotating shifts, including on-call duties.
