What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Supervisor position at Chief Fabrication?
Chief Fabrication is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join the Chief team. This position will oversee and coordinate the daily shipping operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the shipping team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly shipping targets.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of outbound shipments.
- Monitor and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and resolve delivery issues.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of shipping or logistics experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation and carrier systems.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
