- Prepares press for operation and direct feeder on required setup and adjustments
- Matches the digital job proof to an accurate sample
- Runs jobs following order specifications
- Ensures print quality and make all required adjustments
- Possesses the ability to understand artwork/computer file requirements as related to the print request
- Monitors machine operation, and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation and minimize downtime
- Completes print requests according to planned deadlines
- Performs regular and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoots technical problems with equipment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Date entry, logging job completion, material used, quantity, issues., etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Submit to criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, Physical, Audiogram, and Authorized to work in the USA.
- Able to report to work on time, per scheduled days
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3 years prior Digital Press Operator or Presman experience
- Strong computer skills and experience handling print ready files
- Strong knowledge of pre-press and post-production processes and digital equipment capabilities and substrates
- Ability to distinguish colors in very detailed manner
- Ability to perform repetitive task and lift up 50 pounds without assistance throughout duration of shift
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Good mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and quality
- Tenacious and creative problem-solving skills
- Relationship Management Skills to liaise with design team
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
