- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their seats efficiently
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth seating flow
- Handle all cashier responsibilities accurately, processing payments swiftly and providing clear receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to promote a welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating, service needs, and guest requests
- Answer guest inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about menu items or wait times
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally to enhance overall guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/host or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS terminals
- Professional appearance and demeanor, along with good phone etiquette for guest interactions
