Position Summary
The Assistant Teacher supports developmentally appropriate learning through play, modeling, and nurturing interactions. This role focuses on emotional, physical, and cognitive growth in a safe, supportive environment where children can explore and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the teaching team
- Support toileting, including diapering
- Supervise children during sleep
- Engage children through play, songs, stories, and conversation
- Build positive relationships with families
- Maintain a safe, loving, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
- Genuine love for working with young children
- Commitment to supporting each child’s unique development
- Ability to create playful, interactive, and age-appropriate activities
- Warm, patient, and caring presence
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and interact at children’s physical level throughout the day
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
Education & Experience (Prior Experience Required)
- Preferred: BS/BA in Early Childhood Education
- Accepted: AA/AS in ECE or related field, OR
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
