The largest responsibility as a Chick-fil-A Team Member is providing an experience for our guests that goes above and beyond their expectations. This involves providing excellent customer service with a warm welcome and fond farewell and serving great food.
Competitive pay:
Full-time starts at $14.50 per hour but may earn up to $16.00 per hour. Part-time starts at $12.50 per hour but may earn up to $14.00 per hour!

Chick-fil-A Team Member Requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- Must have the availability to work Holidays and weekends (Friday and Saturday)
- Professional appearance and make-up with no tattoos on face or neck
- Wearing and maintaining the required uniform
- Must work well in a team and help maintain a safe and positive environment
- Must be comfortable with working outside and in a variety of weather conditions
- Must understand basic food safety and must adhere to all Corporate, Unit, and State or Federal policies
- Must be able to obtain a valid and food handlers card for the city of Portsmouth
- Candidates will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary.
- Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary (1 year or more)
Hospitality Team Member Responsibilities:
- Perform job duties in the following areas (but not limited to): dining room, front counter, and drive-thru.
- Maintenance of restaurant parking lot, outside trash receptacles, restrooms, kids playground, dining room, and front counter and drive-thru area.
- Receive payments from guests outside in the drive thru or inside at the front counter or drive thru window in the form of credit, cash, or check. Must be comfortable with handling all forms of payments, especially cash.
- Receive and take guests orders outside in the drive-thru outside or inside at the front counter.
- Interact with guests dining in or carrying out by checking on the status of their order, offering them refreshments and any other accommodations they may need.
- Bag orders that come through mobile destinations via Front Counter and Drive Thru (e.g. DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, and the Chick-fil-A One app).
- Prepare guests beverages and dessert items that come through via Front Counter and Drive Thru.
- Deliver orders outside to guests in the drive-thru or curbside area.
- Deliver orders inside to guests carrying out or dining in and mobile options are available for both destinations.
- Follow Chick-fil-A brand standards in regards to food preparation, handling and/ delivery.
- Follow Chick-fil-A brand standards in regards to customer service delivered to guests.
