Role Description
This full-time, on-site BOH (Back of House) Director role is based in Rochester, NY. The BOH Director is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining efficient workflows for food preparation. Day-to-day tasks include inventory management, team scheduling, training BOH team members, monitoring kitchen performance metrics, and implementing strategies to improve productivity. The BOH Director will also collaborate with other department leaders to create an excellent guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, coach, and mentor BOH staff.
- Proficiency in food safety protocols, inventory management, and quality assurance practices.
- Experience in operational workflow optimization and kitchen performance analysis.
- Adaptable communication skills for effectively working with team members and other departments.
- Problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in foodservice or restaurant management is strongly preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus but not required.
