What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Prevention & Wellness Facilitator position at Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC)?
Empower youth. Strengthen communities. Help culture become the path to healing.
The CPLC Nahui Ollin Wellness Program is based on the premise of La Cultura Cura, “Culture Heals”. We believe that by fostering youth engagement and leadership development our communities can strive for holistic wellness. Through culturally responsive practices, we can build a foundation for justice and healing. Nahui Ollin has been serving Tucson youth for over 25 years via in-school workshops, community service-learning opportunities, retreats and leadership conferences.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
As the Youth Prevention and Wellness Facilitator, you will play a key role in empowering youth and strengthening families within the community. In this role, you will implement weekly program sessions, coordinate community service-learning opportunities, and provide overall support to teens and parents enrolled in the program.
You will facilitate programming aligned with evidence-based curriculum while supporting program evaluation and ongoing quality improvement efforts. Your work will require initiative, collaboration, and independent judgment to effectively deliver services and respond to the needs of youth and families.
You will also support data collection and entry to capture referral services and program outcomes, helping ensure the program’s effectiveness and long-term impact. Because this role serves the community directly, flexibility is important and may include working some evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight events.
WHO YOU ARE?
You are passionate about youth empowerment and believe in the power of culture, community, and connection to inspire positive change. You enjoy working with teens and families and thrive in environments where collaboration, mentorship, and service are at the center of the work.
You bring strong communication and facilitation skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to engage youth in meaningful ways. You are organized, proactive, and able to balance multiple responsibilities while supporting both program operations and community needs.
