The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) at Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) is dedicated to promoting the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied children, and other eligible individuals and families through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
As the Recreation Coordinator, you'll create meaningful experiences that help children in care build confidence, develop healthy relationships, and simply enjoy being kids. You will oversee the facility's recreational programming by designing, coordinating, and facilitating engaging educational, cultural, social, and recreational activities, both on-site and through community outings.
You'll also ensure recreation programming is organized, compliant, and well documented while maintaining appropriate supervision and professional boundaries with youth. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where every child has opportunities to learn, grow, and heal.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in recreation or related field preferred.
- Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR, CPI and First Aid Certifications.
- Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish and as appropriate to population served required.
