WANTED: Trauma-informed, bilingual mental health Clinician

The Trauma Recovery Center team in Arizona is excited to add a new Clinician to the team. The Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) serves recent victims of violent crime, including survivors of physical assault, sexual assault, gunshot wounds, stabbings, domestic violence and human trafficking.

LOCATION: 6850 W. Indian School Road

SALARY & BENEFITS: $70,000-$75,000 depending on licensure status and experience

WORK FLEXIBILITY! You'll be able to work from home once a week, providing telehealth and in-person appointments in the office, field, home or during office hours and enjoy some flexibility in your schedule while still prioritizing client care.

  • You are committed to trauma-informed, survivor-centered care, bringing strong clinical judgment and compassion to support individuals impacted by violent crime.
  • You provide effective, evidence-based services, including clinical intakes, psychotherapy, treatment planning, crisis support, and assertive outreach—including home and community visits for clients who cannot attend appointments.
  • You collaborate easily across disciplines, coordinating care with case managers, healthcare partners, and legal agencies while advocating for clients to access essential resources and protections.
  • You deliver culturally responsive, compliant care, showing sensitivity to low-income, at-risk, and multilingual communities while maintaining high standards of documentation and privacy.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As the Clinician, you will facilitate clinical intakes, individual and group psychotherapy, assertive outreach, and clinical case management services, using evidence-based practices that are effective for the service population and work as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Conduct trauma-informed clinical intakes, including psychosocial assessment, mental status exams, and DSM‑5 diagnoses.
  • Provide short-term individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and comprehensive clinical case management.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and service plans while collaborating with Case Managers to coordinate care.
  • Connect members to community resources, including financial entitlements, Victim of Crime services, disability benefits, and immigration-related support (U-Visas, asylum evaluations).
  • Serve as an advocate and liaison with law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office for members requiring legal support such as police reports or restraining orders.
  • Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation; conduct home/community visits; provide after-hours coverage; and ensure culturally competent service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or related field, enabling credentialing with the State of Arizona.
  • REQUIRED: Licensed with the State of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (BBHE) at the entry/associate level. (Preferred Independent level.)
  • Two year’s post-masters experience preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under automobile insurance policy.
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR, and First Aid certificates.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements
  • Successfully complete the agency’s orientation and demonstrate competence regarding skills and knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer software systems including Microsoft Office, which includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
