You get to work directly with families and communities, making a meaningful difference every day. This role is community-based and located at the Guadalupe Family Resource Center, where you will help connect parents with resources, education, and support that foster healthy child development and resilient families.

CPLC Parenting Arizona and CPLC Parenting Nevada provide family support services statewide through prevention, intervention and treatment programs. These services promote strong families by empowering parents to thrive, thereby creating communities where parents have the skills to raise healthy and successful children.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

As a Family Resource Center (FRC) Liaison, you will play a key role in supporting families and strengthening communities through education, outreach, and connection to essential resources.

In this role, you will assist with the daily operations of the Guadalupe Family Resource Center while supporting program sustainability through data collection and reporting. You will facilitate family-centered services including educational classes, support groups, interactive activities, and community outreach initiatives designed to support parents and caregivers.

You will help families access resources, referrals, and services that promote healthy child development, strong parent-child relationships, and community resiliency. Through your work, you will encourage meaningful interactions between parents and children while empowering caregivers to become advocates for their families.

You will also coordinate outreach efforts by building relationships with community partners, participating in committees and alliances, and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure families receive comprehensive support.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education / Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Family Studies, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of supervised experience working directly with culturally and economically diverse populations of parents, infants, and children
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, and family behavioral health dynamics
  • Understanding of child abuse and neglect dynamics
  • Experience with strength-based and family-centered prevention services
  • Knowledge of community resources and how to connect families to services such as social services, behavioral health providers, and developmental disability programs

Skills / Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be nonjudgmental, empathetic, patient, and objective
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Strong organizational, planning, scheduling, and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, activities, and events simultaneously

Other Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Access to safe, reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance
  • Valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one
  • Must pass a Department of Child Safety Central Registry Background Check
  • Ability to travel as required based on program needs
  • When subpoenaed, must be able to testify in court regarding a case according to Parenting Arizona policy
  • Ability to carry out activities within the annual work plan and agency strategic plan
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
