We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our corporate human resources department in Romeoville, IL.
JOB DUTIES:
Work with company managers on key human resource functions; primary duties are focused in the areas of recruitment, hiring, benefits administration, employee relations, and auditing of key HR functions. Manage communication of HR policies and procedures to all company employees.
- Process additions/deletions/changes to employee insurance benefits
- Manage the recruitment process for the organization.
- Post job openings on job boards, outreach agencies, ADP, etc.
- Maintain formal job descriptions; revise as needed.
- Order background checks.
- Create offer letters for new hires as needed.
- Oversee and audit the new employee onboarding process.
- Audit new employee paperwork with their managers; follow up as needed.
- Primary contact for all campus recruiting.
- Process additions/deletions/changes to employee insurance benefits.
- Provide benefit information to employees upon request
- Provide assistance as needed to support open enrollment, wellness initiatives.
- Process COBRA paperwork
- Distribute FMLA paperwork as required.
- Understand process and procedures for safety and workers compensation.
- Create and distribute company communications
- Assist with maintaining company social media
- Collaborate with the HR Supervisor with event planning and employee engagement events
- Collaborate with the HR Supervisor with coordinating wellness programs
- Monitor completion of scheduled performance reviews
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or equivalent work experience is preferred. A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in human resources is required; experience in a generalist role is strongly preferred. Position requires strong computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ADP experience a definite plus; PHR/SPHR certification also a plus. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Individual must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
