Key Responsibilities
- Administer payroll and employee benefits programs for U.S. and Canadian employees in coordination with internal teams and vendors
- Manage employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Support recruitment efforts, including sourcing strategies, job postings, and participation in job fairs and community events
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes, including new hire orientation and documentation
- Assist with the implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools
- Support the development and coordination of employee training and development programs
- Assist with employment-based immigration and visa administration
- Support with the review and update of HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience
- Support performance management and organizational initiatives as needed
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Prior experience in Human Resources or a related function
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal)
- Working knowledge of U.S. (and preferably Canadian) employment laws and HR practices
- Familiarity with HR processes including benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
- Ability to support cross-time-zone communication with global teams (including China)
- Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs
- 2 years of experience in an HR role.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
