We are looking for a motivated and skilled Airport Information Technology Coordinator to join our team in Rockford. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting technology solutions across airport operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of airport systems integration, passenger processing technologies, and IT project coordination.
You will work with suppliers and vendors to act as the central point of contact for RFD to ensure streamlined communication between all vendors/tenants/staff related to cellular, network, internet, badging, cameras, door access, and software. Assist IT department/vendor managers with testing and deployment of hardware and software solutions, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a willingness to work in cross-functional technology environments, and a proactive attitude towards finding efficient solutions. You will be expected to work in various environments, potential nights and weekends, and available for emergencies, as required.
Key requirements include:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in airport or aviation management, computer sciences, information technology or a closely related field, and at least three years of experience in aviation technology, IT management or related field. Possession of a valid driver’s license authorizing operation of a motor vehicle in Illinois. Must satisfactorily meet and maintain STA and CHRC background check requirements. Any combination of experience and education that meets the minimum requirements will be considered.
