Job Description:
The Chicago Heights Park District is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Tumbling Instructor to teach beginner and intermediate level classes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and youth in a recreational or instructional setting, with the ability to create a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach beginner and intermediate tumbling classes to children and youth.
- Provide instruction on proper techniques, safety, and progression of skills.
- Create engaging lesson plans that encourage skill development and confidence.
- Supervise participants to ensure a safe and positive class environment.
- Communicate with parents, participants, and staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in tumbling, gymnastics, cheer, or a related field.
- Prior teaching or coaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with children of varying skill levels.
- Must be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic.
Schedule:
Classes will be held on weekday evenings and/or weekends, based on programming needs.
