PART-TIME WEEKEND SECURITY GUARD
Firearm: This is a non-armed position. No firearm permitted. Job Description
The Security Guard is responsible for providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for Park District patrons, employees, facilities, and property during weekend operations.
Essential Duties
- Monitor Park District facilities and surrounding areas for safety and security concerns.
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and general activity.
- Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, or disturbances to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist patrons and provide information when needed.
- Enforce Park District rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Contact Park District management or emergency services when necessary.
- Complete basic incident reports and document unusual occurrences.
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned hours.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior security, public safety, or related experience preferred.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable and able to work independently.
- Must be able to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
- Must pass required background screening.
- No firearms or weapons permitted while performing this position.
- Must comply with all Park District policies and applicable security requirements. Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday - 9 hours total for both days.
