Responsibilities Include:
* Coordinate and schedule surgeries and specialty services, follow up appointments as designated by physicians
* Interact with patients, physicians and other staff members within the clinic and other facilities in a professional and courteous manner.
* Coordinate all processes and paperwork required for procedures and act as the point-of-contact for internal staff and external inquiries for all scheduled procedures.
* Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op lab and/or other testing before procedures and surgeries if necessary.
* Contact patient to confirm procedure/surgery.
* Explain and verify proper prep instructions with patients, route to nurse if appropriate.
* Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
* Medical terminology, verbal and written.
* Must have the ability to learn new computer programs.
* Act professionally towards customers, physicians, and co-workers.
* Must be able to multitask and prioritize, time management skills.
* High school diploma or GED
* 6 months prior surgery scheduling, Medical Reception, telephone and computer experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
