What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician (School Setting) Janitor/Custodian/Janitoral position at Chicago Autism Academy?
We are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our building/school and carry out cleaning, maintenance and grounds keeping. MUST have experience!!!! MUST be able to PASS a State and Federal Background Check, with a CLEAN/CLEAR background in BOTH State and Federal.
The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.
- $18-$20 an hour

- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Diligent, effective and efficient communication with Administration
- Follow all health and safety regulations
