Purpose of the Position:
A CHCA preschool teacher is responsible for aligning with the mission statement of Cheyenne Hills Church (CHC) and CHCA. The Toddler Room Teacher role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 1 year to 3 years. The Toddler Teacher will planning age-appropriate activities, manage daily routines like feeding and diapering, as well as communicate with parents about developmental milestones, all while promoting a Christian environment.
Qualifications:
Character:
· Demonstrates a mature Christian faith and meets the qualifications as outlined in 1
Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
· Promotes a Distinctively Different learning environment with the principles of Philippians 4:8; Character Counts
· Servant Leader’s heart with a love for God, His people, and the lost.
Competence:
· Experience: Recommended one (1) year experience working with children
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Post high school degree desirable

This position reports to the Preschool Director, and/or Executive Director.
Relates Closely with:
· CHCA Classroom Paraprofessional
· CHCA Elementary or Preschool Director
· CHCA Office Manager
· CHCA Executive Director
Responsibilities:
The preschool teacher at CHCA is tasked with fostering spiritual, academic, and emotional growth in students, ensuring alignment with Christian values and teachings. Specific duties include:
· Developing and implementing lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum while integrating biblical principles.
· Supervising classroom activities to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
· Providing individualized support to students to enhance comprehension and address unique learning needs.
· Encouraging student participation and creativity through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
· Promoting moral and ethical development by modeling Christian character and behavior.
· Adhere to DFS stated health/safety standards in all classroom related procedures.
· Maintain compliance with DFS trainings and certifications
· Hold or obtain current CPR and First Aid certification

Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
