Purpose of the Position:
A paraprofessional is responsible for aligning with the mission statement of Cheyenne Hills Church (CHC) and CHCA. The paraprofessional role involves supervising students and instructional support of the classroom teacher. The paraprofessional is under the provides support to the program within the assigned classroom by reinforcing the Christian environment.

Competence:
· Experience: Recommended one (1) year experience working with children
· High School Diploma or equivalent
Reports to:
The CHCA Paraprofessional reports to the Elementary/Middle School Director, and/or Executive Director.

· Executive Director
Responsibilities:
The paraprofessional at CHCA is tasked with the following duties:
- Assist the classroom teacher in working with students one-on-one.
- Follow the teacher's lead when working with students in the classroom.
- Lead small group and classroom instruction as directed.
- Confers with the teacher to assist in the evaluation of student progress (grading student assignments) and record keeping.
- Assists in making copies and obtaining, organizing, and maintaining classroom materials, equipment, and work areas to maximize student learning, provide a safe learning environment, and meet requirements.
- Monitors and supervises students in a variety of settings, including classroom, playground, lunchroom, arrival and dismissal of students, etc.
- Assists with enforcing classroom / school rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to ensure a safe and positive Christian learning environment.
- Responds to emergency situations (e.g. injured, sick students, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and / or directing appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Attends meetings and in-service training as required.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Promoting moral and ethical development by modeling Christian character and behavior.
- Has current CPR and First Aid certification.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
