We are seeking a Senior Director of Pricing & Data Science to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Chewy’s central pricing organization. In this role, you will shape how Chewy prices products across categories, partner with leaders across the company, and drive innovations that ensure customers always feel confident shopping with us.

We offer parental leave, family services benefits, backup dependent care, flexible spending accounts, telemedicine, pet adoption reimbursement, employee assistance program, and many discounts including 10% off pet insurance and 20% off at Chewy.com.
Salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
Base Salary Range
$227,500—$406,000 USD

What You’ll Do
- Set the enterprise pricing strategy across catalog, retail categories, and emerging businesses.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary pricing organization, including Pricing Operations, Analytics, Data Science, and Product Management.
- Ensure Chewy’s prices are competitive, accurate, and predictable, balancing customer trust with long-term business health.
- Drive experimentation and innovation, including elasticity modeling, ML frameworks, causal inference, generative AI applications, and dynamic pricing capabilities.
- Communicate pricing strategy and performance to senior leadership with clarity, sound judgment, and a customer-first mindset.
- Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, and operational excellence.
- MBA or MS in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field
- 15 years of progressive professional experience
- 5 years in retail or e-commerce pricing
- 5 years managing large, multi-level teams
- Deep experience with dynamic pricing, experimentation, causal modeling, and machine learning
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity
- A strategic, forward-thinking leader who can operate at both 10,000 feet and in technical detail
- Customer-obsessed and able to balance value, competitiveness, and profitability
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and influencing cross-functionally
- Passionate about developing people, building scalable systems, and delivering results
