What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Service Director position at Chew?
Chew is hiring an extraordinary Client Service Director in Boston.
Not someone looking for their next job — someone looking for something to challenge, build and redefine.
We want the trailblazer who believes client service can become a competitive weapon.
Chew is entering one of the most important chapters in our history.
We have spent years building technology around how we innovate, create and move — and that technology is becoming an increasingly important part of our future.
So this is not a role for someone who wants a finished playbook.
We need someone who thrives while the playbook is still being written.
Someone with immense accountability. Someone who embraces iteration, change, AI and every new tool that can make us better tomorrow than we were today.
And above everything else, someone with an Ultimate Hospitality mindset.
The kind of person who wants clients to feel extraordinarily well cared for.
Who anticipates instead of reacts.
Who obsesses over every interaction.
Who believes the standard isn't simply delivering the work — it is delighting and overwhelming clients with excellence at every possible moment.
You will sit at the intersection of chefs, scientists, strategists, creators and technologists doing work that often hasn't been done before.
Your job is to make sure our clients feel the full force of that.
There are a few non-negotiables:
- Boston-based.
- Deep agency/client-service experience.
- A real love of food and food systems — ingredients, restaurants, brands, consumers, manufacturing, innovation, all of it.
- Excited by AI and emerging technology, not threatened by it.
- Comfortable with relentless iteration and change.
- Takes ownership instinctively. Nothing falls through the cracks because “it belonged to someone else.”
I care less about your current title than I do about how you think, how you care, how you lead and what happens to the standard of excellence when you enter the room.
The right person will have enormous influence over what Chew becomes next.
If this sounds uncomfortably like you — or immediately makes you think of someone exceptional — DM me.
