Job Description
Chevron Shipping Company is looking for outstanding students with declared majors in the areas of Marine Transportation or Maritime Business Administration who would like to work in a challenging dynamic shipping and trading environment. Chevron Shipping’s Chartering and Commercial Operations (C&CO) Team provides global commercial marine support in the areas of Chartering, Voyage Management / Tanker Operations, and Demurrage.
C&CO is the commercial link to the oil, gas, and chemical shipping markets for Chevron. C&CO provides commercial marine functional excellence through its knowledge and understanding of the shipping markets, shipping economics and shipping logistics. Working with other entities, C&CO enables the commercial success of Upstream, Downstream & Chemicals, and other Midstream organizations.
Houston Internship
An internship in the Chartering & Commercial Operations team will provide opportunities to commercially support Chevron Shipping Company’s operated fleet of tankers in addition to chartered vessels, work closely with Product and Crude Supply & Trading, and interact with 3rd party vessel owners and operators. Chartering & Commercial Operations interns will also engage with other Chevron Shipping Company functional teams such as Marine Assurance and can expect to meet other Chevron interns through corporate-wide intern events.
Required Qualifications
- Studying Marine Transportation or Maritime Business Administration and in good academic standing.
- Applicants must have permanent work authorization in the United States and not require sponsorship.

- The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
