Air Permitting and Compliance
- Minor and major source air permitting under North Dakota and federal programs, including application preparation, updates, reporting, and ongoing compliance support.
- Applicability determinations and compliance support for NSPS and MACT standards applicable to oil and gas operations.
- Implementation of new and revised North Dakota and federal air regulations in coordination with corporate and technical advisory teams.
- NSPS OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOc/OOOOb compliance support and reporting.
- EPA Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting.
- Annual air emissions inventory reporting.
- Emissions estimation (including potential to emit calculations) and supporting documentation for permitting and reporting.
- Support deployment and use of advanced methane detection and measurement technologies, such as continuous emissions monitoring systems and LiDAR flyovers.
- Support record requests, inspections, audits, and enforcement-related inquiries from state and federal agencies (e.g., North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)).
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting protocols, data quality standards, and reporting procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in air permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree and Master of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in oil and gas air permitting and compliance, preferably in North Dakota or similar regulatory environments.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Power BI
- Copilot
- Emissions and compliance tools (e.g., Cority, ACTs, ProMax, Power Query, Power Apps).
