THE ROLE
Chetola Resort is seeking a detail-driven, service-oriented Assistant Banquet Manager (Part-Time) to support the execution of weddings, social events, conferences, and resort functions. This role is essential to delivering seamless events that reflect the polish, professionalism, and hospitality expected of a luxury mountain resort.
The Assistant Banquet Manager works closely with the Banquet Manager, Food & Beverage leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure every event is executed with precision—from room setups and service flow to staff leadership and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on, on-the-floor role best suited for someone who thrives in live event environments and leads confidently through presence and example.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Standards of Excellence & Event Execution
- Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events including weddings, meetings, and special resort functions
- Ensure banquet rooms are set accurately according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), diagrams, and service standards
- Be present on the floor during events to manage service flow, timing, and guest experience
- Identify and resolve issues in real time with calm professionalism and urgency
Service & Guest Experience
- Deliver warm, polished, and attentive hospitality to clients, hosts, and guests
- Serve as a point of contact during events to address questions or concerns
- Anticipate guest needs and support a seamless, elevated event experience
- Represent Chetola’s service standards at all times
Team Leadership & Support
- Supervise banquet associates during events, providing clear direction and leadership
- Support training and onboarding of banquet staff on service expectations and event protocols
- Reinforce professionalism, teamwork, and accountability on every shift
- Assist with staffing coverage and on-site coordination as needed
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with Culinary, Sales, AV, Facilities, and F&B teams to ensure aligned execution
- Review BEOs in advance to understand event details, timelines, and service requirements
- Communicate updates or changes clearly to the banquet team
Safety & Readiness
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards
- Monitor proper handling of equipment, furniture, and event materials
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe event spaces before, during, and after events

REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in banquet operations, event management, or food & beverage (hotel or resort experience preferred)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move event equipment as needed
