The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $54,000 - $61,000 annual salary. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.

We are seeking a full-time mission-driven Clinician to join our Adult Substance Use Disorder (SUD) team in Bloomington, Illinois. This leadership-level position plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use, guiding them toward recovery through trauma-informed, evidence-based care. The Clinician also serves as a mentor and supervisor to interns and less experienced staff, helping to shape the future of behavioral health services.

- Conduct diagnostic and assessment evaluations with clients and families, including bio-psychosocial reports
- Plan and implement individualized treatment plans and continuing care strategies
- Facilitate admissions, discharges, and development of Master Treatment Plans
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling using advanced therapy skills
- Lead educational and skills-based groups
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with external partners such as probation officers, psychiatrists, and family members
- Provide court testimony when requested
- Supervise interns and support onboarding of new clinicians
- Serve as a clinical mentor and informal advisor to peers
- Demonstrate leadership and project management capabilities
- Provide clinical supervision for LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT licensure
- Participate in staff meetings, development activities, and uphold Chestnut’s customer service standards
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all organizational and client information
- Master’s degree in a human services field
- Active licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability (when applicable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and EMRs
