OVERVIEW:
A mission-driven affordable housing organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Resident Services Coordinator to lead the design and deliver programs that support and enrich the lives of residents living in affordable housing communities. This full-time grant-based leadership position works in close collaboration with the CCTA President and Westerly Housing Authority Executive Director to foster resident stability, engagement and community well-being. The RSC will also play a key role in building partnerships with local service providers to support resident services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborating with CCTA President and WHA office teams to identify and coordinate programming that promotes housing stability and resident success
· Support offices and staff in developing resident engagement goals and measurable outcomes
· Design and implement programs that help reduce rent arrears, improve lease compliance, and promote positive resident relationships with other tenants and office
· Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community-based organizations, and service providers
· Host regular check-ins with teams to problem-solve challenges and plan engagement events
· Understand resident concerns and coordinate support through appropriate referrals and resources
· Oversee the planning of community-building events and seasonal celebrations
· Prepare standardized, site-specific monthly newsletters across all properties
· Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting to meet internal and external requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, housing management or related field
· 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, program development, partnership management
· Strong understanding of HUD, Fair Housing, and related affordable housing regulations
· Ability to oversee and support teams across multiple sites
· Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
· Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse communities
· Experience leading or facilitating community meetings and events
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), outcome tracking systems
· Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work independently
· Flexibility, empathy, and a sense of humor highly valued
· Reliable transportation required for regular travel between complexes
COMPENSATION:
Employment at the Chestnut Court Tenants Association is explicitly tied to the availability of external ROSS Grant funds. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon the renewal of the grant and availability of funds.
