BOOTH ATTENDANT (Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary)
Job Summary:
The position is responsible for the operation of the entry booth at Brandenburg Park. Duties include, but are not limited to, selling of daily and seasonal park passes; handling money with the ability to make change; keeping a log of daily and seasonal passes sold; reconciliation of money at the end of shift. Additional duties may be assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of park rules
- Baseline knowledge of programming and events hosted by the Parks, Recreation, and Senior Services Department
- Receive and handle cash transactions; perform end of day cash reconciliation
- Customer service and communication with park guests
- Maintain a log of daily and seasonal guest passes sold
- Performs other duties as directed, and assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age with some high school credit hours.
- Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License, and dependable transportation.
- Must be available to work flexible day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours during the park season (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
- Must have the ability to follow directions, instructions, and department/park protocols.
- Applicants under the age of 18 are subjected to some restrictions based on state and federal regulations.
Physical Abilities & Work Environment:
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position(s) for long periods of time (75%)
- Ability to frequently move about the work space (25%)
- Ability to move up to ten (10) pounds; infrequently move up to fifty (50) pounds.
- May be exposed to:
Dust/dirt/fumes/odors/grease/oil
Outside weather conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity)

Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
